Best Pub in Tring! Thanks Tring People

We had a lovely night out down at The Black Horse Pub! we certainly enjoyed the great surroundings and atmosphere, makes a big change from how the place used to be! great service from start to finish! would highly recommend coming down here, we will certainly be back again! and thanks to Tring people for telling me about them!

We are Peter and Catherine Brown and have just taken over the Black Horse Pub at Tring.

We invite you to come in and look around, have a drink, stay a while, peruse our menu, mull over our wine list!

Our aim is to offer good quality pub food and real cask ales in comfortable, friendly surroundings.

    Fab meal

       

    Well done Black Horse for a different veggie option to the usual vegetable lasagne which is usually full of aubergine(which I hate) and bland sauce.The vegetarian wellington and all the trimmings was fab and the hubby said his steak was very good too. All in all a very good Sunday afternoon out. Good food,wine and service. Would highly recommend

    Poor service and rude staff.

       

    We had such high hopes for this pub but were really disappointed in the end. We had to wait far too long to be served and when we did get served the waitress was very surly with us. If you're going to be busy on a Saturday night make sure you have the staff who care about your customers. The food was cold when it eventually arrived and had to be returned. Such a let down in so many ways.

    The Black Horse is a fantastic pub in the centre of Tring

       

    I've visited The Black Horse twice since Peter and Catherine took over, most recently for the pub quiz in aid of Lucy Air Ambulance. Peter and Catherine are wondeful people, they are extremely accommodating and nothing seems to be too much trouble. This evening I had my first meal there, a lamb and apricot casserole which was simply delicious and more than an ample portion of food! Reasonably priced, great atmosphere and fantastic service with a smile - keep up the good work!
